Cleaning rimes ,need some help

I have some stains on my 87 GTA wheels.the aluminium part.now i was wondering if turtle wax bug and tar remover will mess up my polished look.I know it is not for rims but it seems like it would take anything off.If it is not good, what could i use to clean them off.

Go to chrysler and ask for there bug and tar remover,my buddy used to work at chrysler and he had this $hit in his garage and we used it to get the tar off my yellow iroc, and if you check out my link to my ride you will see its spotless and i also have gta style wheels made by ARE and they are really clean too,i am not sure if its labeled as bug and tar remover at chrysler but ask the parts guy and he will help you out,its better then any bug/tar remover on the market,i have tried the turtle wax and its nothing compared to this stuff, did you try mothers chrome/aluminum polish?

So long as you do not let it dry on the rims, I don't think it would hurt them. I've used bug/tar remover on my GTAs before to get road tar off the rims with no ill effects.

My black Notchback was covered in "Dallas, TX tar" when I got it and it cleaned up very nicely.
