Re: For all you carbon fiber fans

I like carbon fiber....Here's my partial dash piece. I might do another as a full piece, but I like the partial better than I thought I would.

Re: For all you carbon fiber fans

I've thought about just doing my stock hood, but I'm really liking the RA1 (93-97) hood lately.

Is is just me or does that look like photoshop? Its hard to tell but the car looks like it is outside but the hood looks like its inside. Notice 3/4 of an inch or so overhang into the the headlight buckets.

Ha ha yeah, I think our $ would be better spent elsewhere. Atleast for one from a different company. I'm no physics major but it also seems that you might have a hard time using your windshield wipers if the hood is on top of them. I call bs. They may have a legitimate product, but they need to post a real pic and not blow sunshine up you know where.

I did a similar treatment to my console shift plate, radio trim and the accessory panel just above it (left the ends regular black). Hadn't thought of doing the actual gauge panel, I think I've got some CF left over.......

Re: For all you carbon fiber fans

If they made a regular flat hood with no louvers or blisters or anything in carbon fibre, I would buy one and paint it to match my car

I might do my console top & radio/AC controls too. Duno. I'd hafta go buy more material. Well, I have enough for the radio/AC plate left over....

I've toyed with the idea of doing my GTA hood, but that is a MUCH bigger & involved project than interior pieces.

Re: For all you carbon fiber fans

I have ALOT of people tell me to get the high school diploma, but no one really knows my story, and i'm sure half of you wouldn't care to hear it, long story short, my high school lost 2 full years worth credits when i trasnfered.. i tried over and over and my mom went back and forth with the school board, in the end they said i'd have have to just go redo it cause they "don't have proof" i've completed it.. even tho my teachers all agreed i'd passed, but they didn't have the actual grades.. i ended up trying my had this year.. security didn't like me after we butted heads over some stuff.. i ended up leaving.. i do have plans for what i'm doing.. i've contacted UTI and am going to enroll in there after i get my GED and i qualify for a financial aid so there's help there.. and my mom lives about 30 min's fron the NC campus.. so when i fly up there i'm going to tour the campus and get going on that..

Re: For all you carbon fiber fans

thanks for the good luck thing..

i've heard alot of good stuff.. and i mean getting an education and after you complete it getting 1k worth snap on tools.. and while being there getting (from what the lady told me) 45-50% off of parts sounds good to me.. i really have a thing for cars.. one of the very few things that can hold my attention for more then 5 mins..
