Spray on window tint

Spray on window tint rather than the peel and stick is apparently available.

Anybody ever use this. I'm considering doing so but wanted to hear from the experts.

I wouldn't recommend it. It's probably damn near impossible to get a perfectly even shade. Even if you do get it even on one window, matching the other window to that exact shade would be pretty tough too.

It is the exact same thing as the spray on taillight black out. Spray on tint was around a long time before film tint (mid 70's). There's a reason that film tint became so popular. Spray on tint sucks big time. If you have ever used spray on blackout, then you know it's a real B**ch to keep from running even on a surface as small as a taillight. Now imagine trying to get an even run free finish on something as large as your hatch glass.

SEEMS LIKE TOO MUCH TROUBLE FOR A $15.00 CAN AND A MESSED UP HATCH. YOU CAN GET THE REAR HATCH FILM TINTED FOR $75.00 BY A PRO AND BE DONE WITH THE WHOLE DEAL. SOME TIMES IT IS BETTER TO JUST PAY THE PRICE UP FRONT THEN TO PAY LATER.

True, they're stuck in 1975 at JCWhitney but i did get a cupholder that worked out well from there. The ones the factory sells for the door panels are inconvenient and ripping out the ashtray is too much work. I guess everthing, including JCW, are good for something.
