Marker light question

Hey- I got clear front and side marker lenses for my 85 IROC and I was told it is ok, but you need orange bulbs in them- Is that true? And then I was told I could get a bulb that looked clear, but shines orange so you don't see an orange bulb threw the clear lense- but no one can tell me were to get one or what they are called exactly so I can search the web. I'd love to put clear bulbs in all 4, but I'm pretty sure it is illegal. Someone said it may be legal to put clear ones in the sides, but I'd want to know for sure- I don't need any more tickets. If any one can tell me about the legalness of these lights and were I can get one I'd really appreciate it. Also I live in NY- if it matters. Thank you for all the help in advance.

IIRC, I used the following (can't recall if I swapped both or just the side markers): "SilverStar® Signal Lighting gives you the crisp, clean styling of progressive clear lens signal lighting design and produces 100% street legal amber light when lit. Sparkling iridescent blue lamps eliminate the orange glow of amber signal lights."

By the way, I purchased my SilverStar headlamps at Autozone, so perhaps you can find what you're looking for there or at one of the other automotive outlets.

Re: Marker light question

They do need to shine amber. The sirverstars are legal. Clears aren't legal anywhere except for headlights and foglights.
