Painting TPI air intake

Can this be painted? Will paint stick to it? What kind ofpaint should i use? Spray paint, high heat?

Mine is getting all dusty, nasty/old looking and I want to clean it well then paint it. Any info on this would be nice.

Thanks.

I just did mine looks a lot better. I used High heat black engine spray paint. I took the whole aircleaner and snorkel out. pulled snorkel off and sanded aircleaner (sand it real good to get all the rust off I didn't do to great of a job sanding mine and you can see that I didn't). Be sure to tape off the any decals on the cover. then just go to town painting it. Just don't get any paint inside the aircleaner itself. BTW I didn't paint the bottom my of mine and it still looks fine.

TPI Ait intake... NOT CARBED!

Thanks for the input, but you are reffering to the circular dual snorkel air cleaner that comes on the 5.0HO carb motors. I am sure that you are referring to this becuase you said rust.... plastic does not rust.

I am referring to the plastic TPI thing that covers the air cleaners(plural) and connects to the Mass Air Flow Sensor.

Anybody?

I used little strips of aluminum foil to cover the wing nuts that hold it down and shot a coat or two of black Krylon on mine
