I would like to purchased some touch up paint for my IROC. At the auto parts store there are books that cross-reference their colors to GM codes. How to I determine what my GM paint code is?

 

The code is located on your RPO sheet inside the center console. On my '86 Camaro my blue is code 23U. On my '88 IROC my orange is 63U. Note that the constant here is that the paint code is a 2 digit number followed by a U for upper (paint color). Lower body colors are followed by an L.

Also if your sheet is missing you can determine the color by telling us the year and what your color looks like (assuming it is the original color) and I'm sure either myself or someone else can tell you the code. Or you can go to an automotive paint store and look in their chip book for your year and model.
