Does anyone use a Covercraft Bra?

I just ordered one from Jegs.com. I was wondering if anyone has one so I could see what they look like. Thanks.

Re: Does anyone use a Covercraft Bra?

yea it will damage your paint and possibly cause rust if not caught early enough. we had a car come into the shop not to long ago that had a rust hole all the way through. the guy bought the car a few years ago and put a bra on it sortly after purchase and never took it off. basically what it did was hold grit under it from the elements so it sanded all the paint of then when it would rain it would hold the water on the bare metal which in turn made it rust. it would be ok for a road trip to keep chips and stuff to a minimum but not just to leave on their for an extended amount of time.

I hate the appearance of bra's period. Major turn off for me.

yeah i have heard about that stuff happening. im going to get one for long trips and to use in between car shows. but i clean my car once if not twice a week and the bra will come off for each cleaning. do you think that would be ok. im getting the car painted (as you can see in the picture it look rough but i still clean it the way it is lol) soon and i work at a dealership and see the new cars that come in with 3k on the and have chips all over them. and that would just tick me off if i found a chip on my car after taking months to prep my car for paint.

Re: Does anyone use a Covercraft Bra?

i have one on my bonneville. the car is black, but the bra made the hood paint get hot and fade, now under the bra is almost gray. the car was always outside, and the bra was on for about a year. i wouldn't leave the bra on for an extended period of time. if you do get one, take it off on very hot days, and always make sure to keep the paint clean underneith. but yea, i know what you mean by paint chips. my 'maro is purple, and the nose looks like there are millions of white bugs on it, but its the paint gone. have to save up some money and get the paint redone sometime. i don't know, it looks alright from farther away, so it can wait.

also, i don't like the look of the bra on the camaro, because it is a car with points and edges. it looks good on my bonneville only because it is very curved and smooth.
