Clear rear blinker??

I have a 91 Z28. I have heard of some people talking about putting red in place of the amber section of the taillight. I think it would look better if you put the clear from a reverse light. You put a amber bulb inside so it looks clear untill the bulb is on. What do u guys think??

I think it would look terrible. Not just cause its clear and thats considered ***** by many, but the clear section would be too big and would look bad. I think it would look like you kinda want clear taillights, but kinda don't, so you got half and half. Just my opinion though, its your car, don't let anyone tell you what to do and not to do with it.

I think this topic has been beat to death, revived, beat to death again, then kicked while it was down for good measure.

actually im pretty sure you could paint the amber lense red (with translucent red paint) then switch the lightbulb from the turn signal to the reverse light. all i did was make the amber lense red, it cleans up the back nicely and it looks a lot smoother. actually i wouldnt mind a different set of tail lights, NOT CLEAR, or at least not like the thousands that are out now.
