Rim Paint Durability?

Axle/Gears: 9" Aluminum Center 3.89's
Rim Paint Durability?
Ok guys heres the deal i got 15'' IROC rims and ONLY want to take off the Clear Coat on the pollished allum. is there any way possible to do that without hurting the painted part? Will that aircraft stripper go through masking tape cause i was thinking of masking them off very very good and just doing the Polished allum.
