painting
i plan on painting my car this weekend in my friends garage.i no it will be humid and was wondering if i should turn the a.c on to cut down the humidity.should i wet the floor and let it dry?or should i spray with the water on the floor?i had a ton of orange peel on my primer and after about ten hours of really going at it i finally got it smooth as a babies butt.this is a base ,clear coat job.any recommendations would help me out thanks

not really sure what to think about the a/c thing, more chance of stuff blowing onto the wet paint. also you want to spray it while the floor is wet so it keeps all the dirt particles on the floor.

I think the AC is a bad idea for 2 reasons.
As said, moving air is bad for painting as dust & debris could blow onto your wet, tacky paint.
Also, air conditioners simply recycle air, so if the air is humid, it will still be humid when it comes out of the AC vents.

Can you borrow a portable dehumidifier or buy one? The aren't that much $$$ and it may come in handy. They also won't push the air around nearly as much as the AC system will. Of coarse you won't want to aim it directly at your ride anyways. Another thing is, it will make a big difference without changing whatever desired temperature you're running your both at.

Re: painting
i painted the car yesterday and the results were better then the primer.no orange peel or runs but i can see some overlap marks.i had to paint it outside so it was a expierience ,if i can wet sand it so it looks like it is all the same color can i leave it like that and clear it?i have a few sand marks i have to get out and overspray to smooth out.i am afraid if i have to repaint after sanding i will come up with the same results before the sanding.
