hey everyone, I bought my iroc about a month ago and i noticed that the window tint had been removed before i got it. Well in the sunset you can see these whit streaks that got all the way up the rear hatch window and it basically covers the entire hatch. Has anyone had this problem or have any idea how to fix it? thanks alot. -Matt

hey man, im not sure its like you cant feel it or see it when you look straight down on it. Only at angles. I have tried to clean the glass and scrape the old tint off but its every where

 

any one got any ideas or had this problem? any ideas of how to clean it off? i've tried like windex... and nothing im going

 

Try to take some brake Cleaner to it. It should cut right through it. It seems that its old glue and may still be on there. I removed the tint on my rear hatch about 3 weeks ago and there was glue everywhere and a friend of mine let me in on a hint how to remove the glue(he used to work at a tint shop). Which was the brake cleaner. Cut Straight through it when sprayed on and taken off with a rag. Go get a can of it from walmart-autozone-etc. Try that first I think its only 1-2$ a can it works Really well. Surprised the hell out of me.

rubbing alcohol is even better. i almost efixated myself with brake cleaner back there. brake cleaner with make you dizzy and lighted headed as hell

 

maybe.. dont know but i used brake cleaner just try to keep away from you.

 

i use invisible glass, though i dont know if it will take off the old tint glue, it's worth a try, Invisible glass has taken off some extreme bird ***** off of any of my cars

 

They do have special stuff that syas it removes old tint glue and residue but im sure its just overpriced relabeled alcohol. Doesnt ammonia also work?

 

hey guys, so far i have tried rubbing alcohol and nothing. Didn't even put a dent in it. I still have the other ideas everyone gave me but i just havn't had the time to check. Im not sure if ammonia would work or not.

 

Take the brake cleaner to it :-D It Will work if it is old glue. I know for a fact it will. just be careful with the fumes. you can get a little high in there
