Rear hatch gas stain

Ok, for the last year, I have had this chevy bowtie graphic put on my rear hatch. Its just a vinyl sticker. Now I decided to take if off, and even after washing and scrubbing and everything, once it drys, you can see where the old bowtie used to be. When its wet, you cannot see, but once it drys, its almost like the water stays where the emblem used to be. Ive cleaned it with soap, water, the works, mr clean scrub pad, you name it, alcohol, nothing. Please help?

Buff it out with some polishing compound, then give the whole panel a good coat of wax. It sounds like the sticker took off the wax from behind it.

Well I guess Ill try that... I tryed goo gone, even though there is no sign of residue... Only when semi-dry, I tryed the potato trick, hmm... Maybe this will work... What I am really trying to do is restore the hatch, and get rid of those water drop marks as well

I misread your original post, don't put wax on the glass... Polishing compound should still work to clean the glass though.

No there is no cloudyness what so ever... Ok heres a little better explanation. Once you wash the car. Usually if you just let the back window dry, it leaves tons of drops of water there right? Well, all but where the sticker was has drops of water, yet there is nothing on the window, Ive felt it. No residue nothing. I mean its been thoroughly cleaned. And when I say all but where the sticker was, well theres a clearly defined trace out on my window of that sticker... You know what ill get pics tomorrow for yall lol
