Problems after h4 install

I just did the projector h4 conversion on my 91 z and im having a problem, when its just on the low beam setting my high beam is still lite up very slightly. Then when i switch to high beam it reverses, the low beam is very dim and the high beam is lit up. I havent made a new headlight harness and i dont really want to if i can avoid it. I want to keep the engine bay as clean as possible, any suggestions on why its doing this? thanks guys

Re: Problems after h4 install

Think i figured it out, the h4 has a different plug layout than the factory light, so im prolly getting feedback from it.

you have to pull the wires out of the factory connector and rearange them and it will work fine...h4 uses a differ ground wire so thats why you have to switch them

Re: Problems after h4 install

I had the same issue with some I ordered from ebay, turned out it was becasue the adaptor they gave me for them was switched around wrong, I re did the pins the correct way and they lit up correctly and when the lows are on only te lows are on, with highs they all light up bright but unfortunately it draws to much current from my system and blinks so a harness might be the best bet.
