Sure, if it checked out OK I would. I love NEW motor with 40k. (Maybe not so new)

I can see that the hood and fenders are a dull white. Make sure it has not been hit! If it has make sure all the body panels line up well, the k-member and all suspension peices look good, and take it for a long test drive. As you are driving it make sure it tracks and stops straight. For $1250 if it runs and drives half way decent its probably worth picking up.

make him prove that it has 40k on a new engine. he should have paper work.
looks like a lotta work. in that one pic the hatch back isnt closed. maybe the motor doesnt work on it???
