alright everybody, i know people have done this before, but my stock wheels have a little fade and are very worn down. they could use a good paint job. i was thinkin if i should do the insides the original silver. ooorrrrr i could paint them the same color as the body or something? i was thinkin of using some brake caliper paint or something.

so my question is, use red paint like my car or the original silver.

and what brand of paint should i use??

thanks everyone!

Re: panting original wheels
alright so i went to paint (so dont critisize!!) and i just kinda slopped a black on. and i think maybe if i just paint it black ill be able to see if i like it or not. if i dont like it then silver covers anything. what ya'll think?

Re: panting original wheels
I like it with the black! I think red is such a powerful color that putting it on the wheels might be overkill. The black looks good!
Nice car btw!

Re: panting original wheels
I did the same thing to a set of red ones so that I could use them on my purple RS for the winter. Wasn't all that difficult to do, and took less than $100 in materials.

Re: panting original wheels
Oh wow. xD
Ca[maro]88: Yes I did, I want to paint the top of the quarter panel, but can't decide if I am going to paint the lower door GFX...
xxiamdrewxx: Thanks a bunch. At that time they were 235/60/15x7 and 275/60/15x7 (lol)
Now they are 235/60/15x8 and 275/60/15x10. She still sitting unfortunately I had money issues for awhile, and she developed rust on the heads. I'm using it as an excuse to get a new car, still a Camaro but I am going LS1 (I feel dirty.. really..)

But.. she's getting a 454/T-56/9-Bolt after a complete tear down.. which is what I intended to do from the start.. learning a lot of combos from ss454 which still uses TBI, which I plan to use... but I did not get my chance to learn to tune like I wanted lol, so I will start small and work my way up..

I would avoid my tire size in the back, cornering = nono.

Re: panting original wheels
dude, i know what you should do!

go get a set of original firebird wheels, what the heck, go get a firebird, paint the rims red, and let me see how it would look on my car!

BTW, the rims you did in that picture look pretty awesome! you should go with that!
