Not as clean as I'd like it yet, but it'd definitely nicer better than stock. I've deleted the A/C and installed 1LE heater box, swapped the big ugly serpentine brackets for a setup from 1987 with serp and v belt, relocated the alternator to pass side, cleaned out all the TBI wires and reloomed what I needed to the fenderwell as opposed to on top of the intake, removed the big coolant and washer jugs in favor of a combined unit across from my battery from a Ford Explorer. I'm hoping Santa will replace the pink plug wires with Teal green (the color of my car). Oh, I also have a 3pt STB waiting for install.

Still need to get the engine bay paint cleaned up and resprayed nice, get some clean metal lines and AN fittings for my fuel lines, and get some kind of nice looking radiator hose cover. And I'm looking to install LED lighting under the edges somewhere in green, to have a green glow at night (kinda like the motorcycle guys do on their bikes). I'd also like to do some bright white LED's under the hood on a switch, so that in the event I have underhood trouble at night, I've got plenty of light to make repairs.

what kind of air filter/breather is that? looks amazing. not only the color, but better than the bulky round one i have. What all do i need if i was looking to install one of those?

 

If you're talking about that IROC poasted above you, you would need to cut two holes in the sheet metal around the hood latch. You wouldn't get any air to the motor though because Camaro's have an open grill area that moves air into that intake, where as Firebirds have no grill area, and get their air from under the front bumper which is why your intake goes down into the side of the car.

So... i shouldnt do that then huh? i want a different breather. i was looking into a K&N-60-1170, simple and easy. and the color will match the scheme im going with to match my Metallic Blue Bird. how would the snorkel work with that?, or would i need one? new to cars, 18 and got my first Firebird recently, and it , to me, has potential. inthe long run anyways, haha

 

also, any ideas on those? something i could do for the air filter problem im having? anyone?

remember this was done back in 1993.. and has been sitting from summer of 2003

it's getting the BOOT!!! and all the same top end parts.after a refresh are going on the new dart block 427sbc.and procharger.this up grade with the no seeums ran a tad under $10.000 in the last 2 weeks.. new eng will be on it's way to me in the nexed 6 weeks..it's paid for.. now.. they have to make it...

Ok I told you I would update once I got mine in. Here she is, and I should have it running in a week or two. Just buttoning up the wiring and ordering parts for the CAI and stuff like that.

Wow. A lot of work has gone into some of these engine bays. I am almost inspired! I have just started to clean up my engine bay. May take a while as it is starting to get too darn hot here to work outside. But here is a pic from my phone of what I am working with.
