It wasn't to hard at all, about a week on the re-build and a few days to drop it in and tune it right... The biggest p.i.t.a. was trying to convert the polished TPI Unit from MAF to Speed Density, hence the black runners... haha

why do dyou have 2 pcv valves? do you have another vent somewhere camaronewbie?

 

I had some blowby when I first installed the engine - was getting nasty oily smoke out the filter vent - so I just got another PCV and installed it - now all the nasty oily smoke gets burned and keeps it from getting so dirty under the hood. It might have been a temp thing (the blowby) - I might try another vent filter and see what happens. But it was a quick easy fix at the time. Motor still runs very strong, and having 2 PCV's doesn't seem to affect anything as it's been that way for 3 years now.

 

Is there a good tutorial on how to do a proper wire tuck (wire management) on here?

 

There's several threads from folks - Since I swapped to carb, I just went through mine, cut out what I didn't need/wasn't using, and tucked the leftovers in plastic looms. Some folks just remove the entire pass side harness fully intact when swapping to carb, but I have made use of several of those wires for outside lighting and accessories like fan controllers and fog lights, so I've left that harness intact and just tucked it in the fenderwell to be accessible whenever I need a new wire from inside to outside. There were a few that I shortened and/or lengthened to get better tucked - I still have a ways to go until I'm happy - more shiny, better cleaning, and some painting.

Where did you get the 90* elbow for your radiator hose? I have this hose but have to route it weird due to it not being able to bend close to itself. A 90* elbow would help a lot. I have mine making a u turn next to the alternator to get it to go straight towards the inlet of the radiator.

 

I thought it came with the hose kit, it might of been an accessory for the hose, got it so long ago I can't really remember but it was just through Pep Boys off the shelf.
