Anyone seen the new Motor Trends' future Camaro article?
Anyone seen the new Motor Trends' future Camaro article?
I thought it had a lot of promising ideas for the next Camaro (2005). And the car's design on the first page of the article looks pretty cool with a retro theme. The other concept drawings look kind of ***** to me, though; Like sport coupes (is it just me, or does the red design on the 3rd page look like an Integra?). At very least, the article does verify that another Camaro is in the works, no matter how preliminary.
For us Firebird guys, there seems to be no replacement except for some speculation of a GTO resurgence, shared with the Monte Carlo platform.
The article also showcases the 04' Mustang which (dare I say) does look kind of cool, but Motor Trend says it will continue to stray from it's muscle car roots and become more of a sport coupe (ugh). It does mention the possibility of an F1-style paddle-shift i.e. Ferrari which would be cool. Not enough to sway me, though.
Any thoughts?

IMO, the fourth gen is a great looking car, but they should have gone more retro with it. Then maybe the retro looking Mustang wouldn't be outselling the F-body by like two or three to one.
