I was just wondering, but what style Bird taillights are the most popular? I like the 91 GTA taillights the best.

 

I think the GTA lights do look best, but I also like the 82-84 tailights too.

 

yep 91-92 Ta are the best no doubt...

 

I like the 85-92 base Firebird taillights, but have them blacked out. Then I would say 91-92 TA taillights. Then 85-90 TA taillights, but I would like them better than the 91-92 taillights if it wasn't for the reflective red strip on the bottom.

 

i like the 82-84 smoked tail lights and the checkered GTA ones.

87-90 GTAs/TAs, no doubt there.

I ended up with 2 spare perfect sets, which are no for sale, due to bills.

"Modified" 85-90 T/A lights:

 

Those look like a third gen version of the 4th gen honeycomb tails. I'd have to say the 85-90 t/a's. I'd say the 91-92 t/a's if they didn't have the amber.

 

I'm on the fence. When I see a nice set of 87-90 TA's I think, oooh those are nice. Then when I see a set of 91-92's, I think oooh those are nice too.

 

It's the amber of the 85-90 TA & 91/91 TA tail lights.

I love the 85-90 GTA lights, with no amber.

 

I prefer the 85-90 Trans Am/GTA style.

 

There is no amber in the 85-90 T/A lights...they're exactly the same as the 87-90 GTA's. Mine came off of an 85 and there is no amber in them.

It's too bad the 91/92 ones didn't have a light up Pontiac like the Fieros.

 

I just never liked the dark gap between the red lights of each side, so I "fixed" that.

Since my need to back up at night, is VERY limited. And even then, in a decently lit area, I turned my Reverse lights into red tail lights, just like the Camaro guys do, to turn their amber turn signal lenses to red.

And no....Reverse lights are not required by law or for inspections.

'85-'90 T/A lights. The ridiculous going price for '91-'92 T/A's is what kills it for me.

 

I like how my red PONTIAC has worn away. I never thought that looked right.

85-90 tails are the best i think , but i have these on here for now.

 

Im supprised no one has smoked out any tails with VHT? Im with the GTA's or the modified which looks killer by the way

 

No need to, on the 87-90s. No yellow to screw up colors & really dark enough, because of the black grid.

Bu I have seen 1 on here, that was darkened. I think with a darj tinted clear cloat paint though.

The late T/A ones without the Bird look... different... but i definitley wouldn't say good.
