44mm +offset = what backspacing?
looking at a set of 4th gen wheels for my 92RS but they have a 44mm offset.Does anyone know what this equals in inches.They are 17x9.5...thanks,i know i will need spacers
To find the backspacing from the offset, you have to know the width of the rim.
width / 2 - offset = backspacing
That's actually more like a -44mm offset, so you'd be adding rather than subtracting (neg + neg = pos).
(9.5 / 2) + (44 *.0394) = x
4.75 + 1.7336 = x
6.4836 = x
So a 6.5 inch backspacing.
