Sequential tail lights

I don't usually post to see what others think but this time I would like to get some
other third genners opinions. Here's my idea, I am thinking about adding a cougar
sequential tail light system to my 86 Trans Am. I have the boxes and the TA lends
itself to this kind of mod already having three lights. I don't want to hear that's its a "*****" mod, just a yea or nay.

I was thinking about doing that on my Camaro, but it would look weird with the different colors. It would look much better, in my opinion, on a Firebird. It's really up to you... that mod would certainly be unique; I haven't seen it on any cars around here.

As too the cost?
Zip, I have had several cougars (and still do) and have several of these boxes lying around. They are very flaky!

When I drive my Cougar everyone always comment on the lights, so I thought what the heck.

Thats cool. I've never seen the cougers with those lights. I think it would look really cool at night.

What if you did the all-red mod to your lights too? Then it would really be cool.

yea for sure... I've been thinking about this myself.

But weren't the Cougar lights mechanically driven? It would be better to do it all electronic IMO.

Just check my web page for complete details!
Of course I have to go to my parents to get the box and to figure out the wiring on my cougar so I can duplicate it. Just wanted to check with all my third genner friends to get a bead on the mod. So far its looking positive!

As for mechinally driven?? The control box it about 4" by 8" and looks like a bunch of relays and some old fashion electronics!
One could probally build a small cicuit board to do the same but I already have several of the boxes.

I have the ones from blinkblink.com on my Impala and they work great, no problems at all after three years of use. All you have to do is splice in a circuit board the size of a credit card on each side of your tail light wiring, and enlarge the middle lamp bucket so you can use a dual filament bulb.

Send an email to them to see if they will work on a 3rd Gen Firebird, I know they have been used on 4th Gen Camaros and Grand Nationals.
