i been wanting a paint job for the longest, but i have been hearing bad things about maaco. is maaco really that bad?

Had mine done at Maaco in Linden,NJ. Got their "top of the line" job and was very happy with the outcome.

maacos do vary greatly by location. in my experience on a budget, just speak to the associate at the location and talk about what work needs to be done and what results it would have. for example i opted out of additional body work which yielded minor and expected flaws in some areas. however i did have work done on the hood and roof of my car that he recommended and the outcome was flawless. overall im extremely happy with the outcome of the paint job. there will be some minor flaws however for the price you cant beat it

You should check out FYRCHKN's thread, he repainted his car himself and it looks great, definitely something I would do, prefer doing it myself to leaving my car with someone else who doesn't care about it.
