I need some advice guys.
Okay guys, after months of saving now, (and after a guy scuffed my car in a parking lot - I got an load of money for it from his insurance) I have now managed to save around $2000 dollars to go directly into my car restoration fund. (I'm 16, I work Minimum Wage, its taking me a while to save) lol!
Do you think this would be enough to get all the little bodywork done to my car, and do you think I would still have money left over for paint or what? The only dents thats are noticable really are in the door (Where the guy hit me in the parking lot, its a scrape), and in the hood.
Say I go to Macco or something, we have a place in our area known as "Miracle Auto" same deal as macco, how much could it cost?
What exactly could this get me? I planned to get a new reproduction wrap around spoiler from hawks, but then what. What do you guys think I should do first? Thanks Third-Gen Community, as always.

Go to the Pick N Pull, grab a new door... and just have it and your hood painted if the rest of your paint is in good condition... Paint shouldn't be more than $400 (buddy had the front clip of his suburban sprayed for $400, both fenders, nose, and hood)... so I can see you getting your car all fixed for $500 including the door...
Then take the $1500 and do as you want with it... Mods, Wheels, Hood... Whatever floats your boat!

Re: I need some advice guys.
My camaro I bought needed a front clip minus the pass fender and I have replaced all of that so far by trading old parts/buying used parts and I plan on this spring sanding the car and prepping it for a Maaco paint job (my buddy is the head painter so he said he will do it on the side) Looking at still under 1000 for paint including the panels. Infact, Im also prepping my neighbors Prelude project car for a Maaco paint job.
Most of those places are actually a really good deal as long as the car is ready for paint (sand to 320 or 400 grit, remove headlights, emblems, etc, clean, clean, clean the car) and all they have to do is mask and paint.
Any orange peel can be wetsanded out and buffed to a nice finish. if you were local i could help you with that, but its pretty simple, just start with 1000 and work up to 2000 and go easy on the edges. Then hit the car with some compound and buff till its a gloss finish. Time consuming and kinda fun IMO but then again Im a little crazy I guess. lol
