'90 RS getting full exterior restoration...but what COLOR?
Okay, in brief...a little over a year ago, I rear-ended a Dodge truck thanks to a bit of inattentiveness on my part and a very poorly designed set of stoplights.
My car was about as lucky as a Camaro could be in such a collision, because my car was just low enough and the truck's tow hitch just high enough that it missed my radiator and just destroyed my hood/front bumper. No damage under the hood, thank God. I would have been devastated if I'd had to junk the car.
Anyway, I'd intended for years to get fresh paint on the car and decided that since I'm already getting major cosmetic work done, I might as well just paint the whole car while it's in the shop.
Problem is, I don't know what COLOR. I was initially going to go with a different shade of red than what it was originally, but after poring over catalogs, I found a few other colors I like, as well.
I'm looking to have a car that stands out and could possibly be shown one day.
Things I'm considering:
GM: '08 Super Red, '04 Med. Red Mica Metallic, '04 Super Red, '02 Torch Red, 2000 Bright Red
Chrysler: '94 Glamour Turquoise Poly
Ford: '93 Iris Poly, '93 Electric Current Red Poly, '93 Wild Strawberry Poly, '93 Vermilion Red Solid, '09 Sangria Red
Suzuki: '09 Red River Metallic
I liked the Glamour Turquoise best, honestly, but the downside is that it wouldn't match under the hood (not painting that until I'm ready to upgrade the engine).
So, opinions?

i suggest painting it the color you like. if the engine compartment isn't the same color then leave your hood down until you get it taken care of. if you do not paint it the color you want you will always have that 'what if' in the back of your mind.
