Lowering questions

I think when I get my new rims I will probably have to lower my car to get rid of the gap that I will have from running lower profile tires. I want to know what it takes to lower a car. If it is just a matter of changing the springs to lowering springs, can the lowering process be reversed when I sell the car? Could I just put the original springs back in and then run the original wheels and tires? I am going to get 4th gen rims so I can put them on a 4th gen some day and then I will need to put my rims back on the car.

yes yes yes.
springs can be changed back and rims also.

all you need after you install your new springs is new alignment. and then when you put the original springs back in.
