2 tone sport coupe with pic
Ok so i havent finished with the hood yet but... I have seen pics of a couple of 2 tone thridgens here but they all had the ground effects so here is my contribution. I think that may just make me the first to try it on a sport coupe and to be honest i makes the sport coupe look better IMHO.

Re: 2 tone sport coupe with pic
can't say I love it, but I respect the effort.
I may end up doing something similar, because the paint on the hood and roof of my car is SHOT, and but the sides (including the stripes that I like but can't replace) are in really good shape

You really should put some sort of pinstripe between the two colors. (Silver would be best IMO), but i think it looks cool!

there is a 3/16th dark silver pinstripe running around it.. its hard to tell in pics.. look at the nose and you will just barely be able to see it.. it splits the blue from the black.

Very nice, and a good job painting as well. A buddy of mine was considering something similar with black and orange on his '89 Formula, I'll have to send him a link to this thread. IMO it looks really good.

Re: 2 tone sport coupe with pic
ok guys... heres the kicker... since i learned proper pain prep years ago as a kid, i prepped it properly then sparyed it with duplicolor rattle cans.. waited then color sanded to 2000 grit then hand buffed out... yes you can get good results out of a spray can.. been doing it for years... And that was in my driveway.. exactly where you see it in the first pic.

Re: 2 tone sport coupe with pic
I've toyed with the idea of taking my red 'bird to a 2tone with black like you did camarokraker, but only from the base of the windshield back.
Unfortunatly, the 2 tone look can go wrong... Heres a firebird for sale on craigslist in this area...

I cringe every time I see it (it's been relisted several times so I stumble on it every now and then)

Re: 2 tone sport coupe with pic
I like the light blue w/ dark blue. It makes it look REALLY 80's to me, probably why I like it
