Winter Beater Pictures?

Hopefully I'm in the right section for this - most fitting one I could find... the midwest area thread died to easily!

I always like seeing what people drive aside from their F-Body in the anti-thirdgen season.

Post up your ride and some pics if you got some!

I actually have two right now... kinda by accident. When I got my talon I thought the laser was gonna be gone.. Well it didn't go and I've kept it... I don't know why - just haven't tried too hard to sell it.

Anyway - all my cars with my two winter car's - although the talon see's a lot of road year round (when its not broken)
It's a 92 Eagle Talon TSi AWD 5spd - Has a lot done to it
Other one is a 92 Plymouth Laser base model 1.8L 5spd - bone stock.. my true "beater" - it's for sale for $800 firm if anyone wants it haha.

Incase anyone here is into the DSM thing at all, here's an engnie bay pic of the talon

Re: Winter Beater Pictures?

This thread will probably get locked... but...
My winter beaters in the late 90's were S10's. All through the first half of the last decade I drove a 3.1L Firebird year round as a beater. I drove a 2.8 5spd 84 Camaro for a few months too... Then I switched to the 2.3L turbocharged Mustang I'm driving now.

Re: Winter Beater Pictures?

Nice - I bet the mustang makes for quite a fun winter car :P

yeah if it gets locked oh well.. there's really no section that fits for this so this was the best I could think of.

Re: Winter Beater Pictures?

Performance wise it's comparable to my Formula, so it's pretty impractical. Fortunately, snow isn't nearly as much of a concern here so I can get away with it.

Re: Winter Beater Pictures?

I stepped up my "beater" this year. Still got it for $1000, but had to put a few things right. Big improvement over previous winter cars.
To keep this thread relevant, here is my winter car next to my Trans Am.
Also, my previous beater, 87 corolla
and of course the real winter vehicle!

Re: Winter Beater Pictures?

Its thirdgen season year round for me, for one of the cars anyway. Here's my beater 92 firebird during a 07 or 08 ice storm. That's ice on the tires, not snow.
