I really want to know what people think about blacking out the taillights. Do you like them? If so where do you buy them and how much are they? Feel free to let me in on any thoughts and opinions.

ive got a thread about tinted tail-lights. Go ahead and check it out and ask in there....so not to repeat the question.

 

I had the tailight blackouts on my 91 bird for 5 years, I loved them and they looked great the whole time, never got hasseled by the cops or anything over them, and face it that if michigan police dont bother you over something, no one else will either. The tailight covers fit the taillights perfectly and the center had the roundness for the key perfect. they were perfect fitting, and I loved them, They were the gts brand blackouts. Also back in teh day when I bought them (about 2000) they were like $60 new, probably a little more now

 

I've got them on my 89 FB...I think they look good...they were on the car when I got it so I can't really speak to where they came from or the cost but I personally like them and never had any probs with cops over them...

I wonder about the brake lights visibility during the day some tho...

Mine look a bit different than that...if you look at the pics on my profile there's one that show the blackouts on my 89

they fit nice and look good imho
