Back Window Louvers

I have a 1986 Camaro. It used to have the back window louvers on, but when I bought it they weren't there. I am thinking about getting some new ones. I was told by different people that I should just leave them black or I should get them painted the color of the car. A picture was attached so you can check it out, but if it's hard to tell exactly the car is a pearl white.

Any suggestions are really appreciated!

Re: Back Window Louvers

The rattle, they scuff the glass, they look "80's"... If you like the look go for it. I had a set on my 83 until the upper hinge let go and they tore off the car at 70mph. My 87 Iroc has the RPO for factory louvers, but it had aftermarket ABS louvers when I got it. They were painted body color. I took them off and gave them away cause they were garbage. Tint works better, and isn't as polarizing.
