about to paint car HELP!!!
This is sort of a unique situation so i just thought i would ask.. never hurts. My second car (89 Mustang GT) is my daily driver. It has some rust damage and some things needing replacing such as driver side door and cowl panel. I rented a storage garage to install the t56 in my trans am due to my 700r going out. I still have the whole month of march left for the storage garage.
I decided to try to do all of this on a budget. The storage lot has NO ac outlets and just one lightbuld in the center. I bought a little device that screws into the socket and lets you plug ac deviceds into it. And its only 2 prong so i cant really use a welder or a large air compressor. BUT i can use some usefull things such as a angle grinder and sander!
So im thinking about just using bondo for some of the rust spots for now (mainly just to stop it from spreading) then finish up when i get another place that has a garage. Then i could redo it all the right way. I just want to fix some this rust and make it my dd again.
To do this, im going to have to paint with either spray cans.. or rolling it on. Thats my only options i know of. I cant expect much i know, but how bad will this come out? Im thinking about painting a flat black color.
So basically im asking for advice.. is this doable? Thanks guys!
