Re: Oxidized Paint?

my paint was the same way. ok make sure to buy plenty of terry cloth (around 12 if possible) and microfiber cloths ( an few small and 2 large cloths). your going want to buy turtle wax ultimate rubbing compound (green/black bottle), meguiars scratchx 2.0 (black bottle), meguiars colorx (black bottle), any polish, and meguiars nxt gen 2.0 tech wax in a purple bottle (liquid or hard), turtle wax ice liquid clay, also you will want meguiars clay bar kit (red box), dawn soap for the wash and masking tape.
ok first wash the car really good get in all the creases and cracks you can and wash in a shaded area and dry with a leaf blower and a microfiber towel or just the microfiber towel. then get your clay bar with the detailer spray and do one section at a time with it and make sure you get all the dirt of your car. then one you did that and dry the car each section, then if you want go over the car (including windows and chrome) with the turtle wax ice liquid clay and wash off good. apply masking tape on the weather stripping so the dont get white from the products.then take the rubbing compound with a terry cloth and go over each section with the rubbing compound nice and good with a good amount of products then wipe with another terry cloth and do each section this way. then take the scratchx 2.0 and do what you did with the rubbing compound and clean off. then take the colorx and do the same but let this sit for a while tell it kinda hardens up on the paint and do the entire car and let it sit for a while to harden then wipe off car. then use the polish how ever it suggests proberly cover car and let sit, then do the same with the wax. and buff as good as you can and also if you want more protection as addition use a hard carnuba wax. good luck. i will edit this later. btw we also own a durango
