So what's TGO'S opinion on the low-rise spoiler?

Please excuse the rattle can job and mud(just moved, hydrant's missing lol).

What does everyone think about this spoiler? At times, from certain angles, I kind of like it. At others it just doesn't look right. I plan on doing a budget paint job fairly soon and I'm considering swapping over to the 3 piece from my 91 rs parts car. I think the main reason I'm a little discouraged from doing so is drilling the holes for the side pieces. Seems a little scary but I think I could handle it. Pretty easy task?

Also considering swapping to the 91 rear bumper. I read up on this a while back and if I remember right it's a straight swap.(?)

So, keep the low rise or on with the 3 piece?

What matters most is what do YOU think on YOUR car?

Personally? I think it is a bit too narrow to fit right, since it doesn't ine up with the sides like the 91/92 Hi-Rise.

Some people like it that way, some don't. As long s YOU are happy with YOUR car, that it was counts.

Yeah I honestly want to swap it but several friends are telling me to leave it. I think they just like it because they've never seen it before. All the cars around here have the 3 piece.

I think the low rise looks decent from the side but horrible from a front angled view.

If you don't like it? Sell it to them, if they like it so much!

Then take the $ & buy what YOU want for YOUR car.

Re: So what's TGO'S opinion on the low-rise spoiler?

lol I get what you're saying. I want to do the swap, I'm just worried about filling holes mainly. Guess I was just weighing it out to see if it's worth it. I think it is, I'd be much happier with the 3 piece.

I thought I could just swap the deck lid from the 91 then drill the holes on the side and be done but it looks like the deck lid isn't just bolted on like I was thinking. I guess I just gotta figure out how to go about this.

Deck lids are EASY to swap.

Unbolt the hinges from the body & take the hinges with the glass.

Re: So what's TGO'S opinion on the low-rise spoiler?

Well, I might have been using the wrong terminology. I was talking about swapping just the metal that the spoiler bolts to. I could swap the whole hatch but I'd rather not. Might seem like a silly reason to some but the hatch on the car is tinted and the one on the 91 is clear as can be. Where I'm from there's only one place to get tint done and it's ridiculous how much they charge.

You can swap the flat deck piece from glass to glass too, but there isn't just the 4 nuts holding it on, but also the black rubber adhesive/sealer there too.

Not a big deal though. Beats drilling new holes, welding the old & repainting.....If the holes you need are different between the 2 spoilers.

Ok, I'll have to search around and figure out exactly how to do it. And I'm just assuming the holes are different. I would think there would be a set of bolts on the front and back of the low rise spoiler but I might be wrong.

So now I'm thinking if the high rise would just bolt up I'll just go that route. Anybody know? Looks the same to me.
