hood birds look left?

why is it that when people paint the hood birds on they paint them with the birds head facing the drivers side? where the original ones all look toward the passenger side like this

I would say either personal preference or they just don't pay attention.

The bird faced different directions depending on the year for some reason. Both are correct. For example, the origonal turbo Trans Ams had the bird facing the hood buldge on the driver's side where as the earlyer 2nd gens had it facing the passenger's side

yes. if i recall the head facing left or right changed each generation change
