Okay, I'm getting my car into the body shop in the next month or so. I got a new spoiler and cowl hood to put on it, and I'm getting the whole thing painted. Right now, the estimate is around $2500 for all that work, the paint job itself being about 1000-1250. I realize that prices can vary around the country (I live in Hampton Roads, VA), but about how much more can I expect to pay for the paint job to change the car to black? I know how much work is involved, so I don't expect it to be cheap......

 

Well, mine used to be red. It's now black. They did it all but the engine bay. I also had clear marker lights put in (Long story... not your average bolt in) and shaved antenna. It was 2483$

if you do it do it right, so paint the engine bay, behind the tailights, any where that you can find that teal should be painted or else it will look like half a$$ ****

 

Yeah, I would definitely do it right. But seeing as how it would be a major beeotch to do it right, I'll probably just paint it the original color and give it my boyfriend, and buy a black Z28 with t-tops for me.
