removing hood vents

Im repainting my car, and changing the color (black to green). Is there a trick to removing the hood vents? Im prone to breaking things so I thought I should ask before i start fiddling wiith it.

Re: removing hood vents

Nah, it's straight forward. Take off hood insulation (if you have it), and you will see the underside of the vents. There are a series of bolts under there- 2 at the top, 2 at the bottom and a few more in between. Just undo them and don't be too surprised if you shear a few nuts doing this.
