Considering Birds don't have buckets i'll assume you mean the headlight bezels. They come factory in black like the picture you posted. Unless you mean you want to paint yours body color.

I think he means the flat part of the bumper in front of the headlight door. What I understand from it.
I've never thought about it seeing as both my 4G and my 3G are black. I doubt I would entertain a different colour on them.
However when I get my white TA it would be something I might consider if it looked good.
edit:
I kinda looked at a few bumpers and I don't see such a definitive area to paint that would make it look good IMO.
Not enough space from what I can tell. Camaros on the other hand have that big old flat spotted bucket.

Bezel is what surrounds the headlight...you can only see it when you flip them up. They should already be black.Originally Posted by itsMikey

Well there are several types of bumpers...maybe some would look better than others because of the lines and curves.
I've seen the perspex plates for that part of the bumper but I don't like the look of them. Not the issue, but just thought I'd throw it in there.
I was sure you meant Black paint. That's why I referenced my 2 Black cars.
I would have to use another colour though.
I think it could also depend on the other aspects of the car like maybe striping, two tone paint or whatever.
Why did you deliberately spell colour the British way?...lol...the way it's been spelled for centuries. Just curious...

I haven't seen it, but I don't think it would look bad.

I know exactly what you are talking about, and I was thinking the same thing myself... I currently don't have PhotoShop so I can't mock it up... maybe some one with ps can help you out. I however think it would look good.
im a graphic design so i could in fact do it but going from white to black doesent always look to good....
I WANT PIX!!!! lol

Just get a couple pieces of black construction paper, cut them to fit, and tape them on with scotch tape. Then, step back and look at it and see if you want to make it permanent. It's less than $1 and 5 minutes.

I use to have 6.0, Vista doesn't like it.... so here's my sad paint attempt...

Didn't Zephyr have that done on his OLD burgundy TA before he painted the whole thing black? Or was that someone else?
I don't really like it. It's an odd place to break up the body color, IMO.

Mmmmm....Me likey. Since my car is getting some paint soon & flat headlight buckets would go good with my flat black wheels....
I wonder if a flat black rear wing would compliment that? Throws a little black on both ends of the car. There was a guy in my town that a silver T/A with the area around the headlights blacked out like in the picture above. I don't have any pics of it, but it did look good.

Looks Good, If I had more Black accents on my car, I would do it, Would look great with my Smoked Turn Signals Originally Posted by JimmyDavidson

hmmmm... interesting... guess doing it in vinyl first would be the best idea. That would help u really see if you like it. graphic-express.com has an "eyelid" package for my girls 03 stang. I looked at it and was like wait that's like a Camaro.... Then it got me wondering why I had not seen it on birds

i like it and might be doing that to my ta depending on what color i paint it..

Good idea. It it turns out as warm as expected this weekend, I might try doing that. But all I have on hand is Gloss vinyl (i think), but it would give me an idea & could simply redo them in Flat Black later.Originally Posted by overide

Mikey use some “cheap” electrical tape. If you like the looks, paint it….. if not you only spent .99 centsOriginally Posted by itsMikey

I think it might look a little better if you did that to fog lights too.

I have been planning on doing this. I have a white 89 exactly like pictured above. Just gotta wait for a dry day.

I say just do the part in front of the headlights, not the fog lights section. It looks really cool with only the headlight part done.
EDIT: wow back from the dead my bad LOL I was searching for vinyl'd headlight buckets for camaros, came across this thread, posted...woops hahaha.

Certainly a personal choice, but they don't work for me.
To my eye, the T/A has a slipperier, more aero front end with it's concealed headlamps. This accentuates the non-aero appearing lip in front of those headlamps. So it doesn't quite work for me.
