ttop/weatherstripping question

I'm in the process of installing new weatherstripping on my 91 Z28. I want to make sure that I get the ttop section down right before I glue them down. I was wondering if anyone had some close up pics of how the weatherstripping fits on the ttop bar section. Any help would be apprecitated.

Re: ttop/weatherstripping question

Thanks, pictures should help out with install. Just wondering, do I need to apply glue/adhesive to the back part of the weatherstripping along the ttop bar?

Re: ttop/weatherstripping question

If you've already removed the old weatherstripping, you'll see everywhere adhesive was used. I would use the 3M weatherstripping adhesive on the lower thin channel that the weatherstripping locks into. The top channel is perfect for using the 3M windshield caulk. You need the rope caulk anyway to bridge the roof to the A pillar and to bridge the roof to the B pillar. After the bottom channel sets up with the adhesive, roll out a thin rope of the caulk and apply that between the weatherstripping and the body. It will be weathertight and remains soft. It will also be a lot cleaner than using adhesive.
