New, but not to f-body..
Hi all,
I am new here. Just picked up an 86 Black on Black IROC, no drive-train, which is perfect for me. I have owned a second gen and fourth gen before, but this is my first 3rd. I am a big f-body guy so I am psyched. Go to pick it up in the morning. Let me know where the trouble spots are on the 3rds so I know where to dig in.
Thanks,
Orlando

Well, the floor and underside were solid, and the car is pretty darn straight, so I brought it home. I hooked up power to the battery cable to roll up the windows, and that is when the fun began, I think the wiring may be chopped up. I made sure I had power to all of the extra wires that run to the positive battery, and nothing inside, not even lights on the dash. Started moving power around under the hood, and a couple of wires gave me dash lights and the gauges jumped around, but never could get power to the windows, headlights, ext. I am going to direct jump the power window motors today, so I can roll up the windows on it, and worry about the wiring later. I am guessing one of the aftermarket companies makes a replacement wiring kit for these cars?
