New Guy with 86 IROC-Z !!

hey everyone, new guy from Columbus OH, just got my hands on an awesome 1986 Camaro IROC-Z L98 in pretty good condition, just hit 100K miles. Love this car! very slow compared to what im used to in my other cars, (98 WS6 T/A T56) (05 SRT-4) but that is not the point of this car, to me its the style and sound that i love so much.. well i like to make a good intro so here are some pics of the car, more to come later..

the only plans i have for the car are hooker 2055 headers/y-pipe, cat delete, 3" catback magnaflow, delete the air pump system, new tires, brakes, and k&n filters..

Re: New Guy with 86 IROC-Z !!

thanks guys, lots of great info on this site. I was lucky enough to buy a really nice IROC from a family member so i didnt have to look to hard for a decent one which is very diffiicult being from the north. Sucks that i just got it before winter so i really cant play around with it until next spring oh well it gives me time to save up for some mods..

Re: New Guy with 86 IROC-Z !!

Welcome. Very clean looking IROC. I have only been a member for a few months myself. Lots of great info on this site. I was able to find an 86 sport coupe California car here in Michigan with just under 70,000 on it and 4,000 on drivetrain. Not one spec of rust anywhere. Mine definatly will not see these snowy salty winters.
