Who has painted their rims?

Who has painted their rims?
I have a problem. I plan to get 17" Iroc rims. I want them to look just like my stock 16 inchers...with the gold painted accents. I don't even care if they are polished! I just want them to look stock!
First, They all seem to be chrome or polished...can they be painted while polished?
Second, do they need to be stripped of clear coat, or anything like that?
third, what business do I contact? Body shops won't touch 'em and the ***** wheel shops will only powder coat the WHOLE rim. Help please!!! Anyone done this????
