having polish problems after paint...
ok, so just painted the TA, and buffed it out on tuesday, and it looked awesome! i got the meguiars ultimate compound, and the meguiars polish. i hit it with the polish and it looked even better. i used the terry bonnet for the compound, and hit it with a microfiber bonnet before polish. then i went all microfiber bonnet for the polish. i worked on some other projects for about an hour, and went to take it on a cruise, and noticed i missed a spot when i swore i had gotten the whole car with the polish. i re polished that spot, and a few more. took it out on a cruise in the sun, and when i got back home, it looked extremely oxidized.
so, i started to hand buff half of the car, and took it back out in the sun and it was fine. i hadnt put polish on over it yet. so i hand buffed the rest with a terry and microfiber to remove. and yesterday it was still fine. so i hand polished a few spots to see if the polish was the problem, and today it is still fine.
so i am trying to figure out what the malfunction here is. here are the options i am weighing down now...
get the 3m buffing compound which is a little thicker, hitting it with the buffer, waiting a day, and hand polishing it with the meguiars polish.
getting the same buffing compound, and hand polishing it with a finer grade polish
just compounding it and forgetting about polish.
theres a million other ideas, but those are the main ones. i'd like to hear if anyone else has had this problem before.
i checked the bottles to see if it said anything about waiting X amount of time between compound and polish, and neither bottles said anything. i am wondering if i should have waited a day, or if i should have polished by hand. or if i just worked the polish too much with the buffer.

well, i already buffed, it seems like it was just the polish that clouded up.after hand buffinf, it looked the way it did after i hit it with the buffer. you saw the pic, i just have a few streaks now from doing it by hand (i was tired) hahaha. i might get the micro compound and machine buff today. a friend of mine was telling me thats all he used on his skyline, and his paint looks awesome. he also told me he rattle canned it. i never could have guessed that

I've used Adams Polishes and a UDM religiously for the last few years, and it has been the best investment I have ever made...These pictures are after a single pass of 2 polishes, and 2 different pads....and if I would have had time, I would have done the final steps which are wax/sealant...
