i think your car is sweet man, although i think it would look a heck of a lot better if it had some different rims(imho) i definetly think the blackouts look sweet on it to, along with the fog lights, peace out and keep spinnin dos tires

Whoa, another Camaro on here with the rear wiper. Anyway, looks nice. I don't like the rims either, and the bowties are tacky. But its your car, so enjoy it.

Car is hot but rims have to go!, For some reason F-bodies dont look good with 15 inch rims, but some IROC,Z28 or GTA rims and ull be set, oh yeah get rid of the Bow tie sticker, they really dont add 15hp

My car had a rear wiper when I got it... but I shaved it. I wish I would have kept it just because it is so rare...

I actually like the way your car looks... it looks pretty clean and straight for being so old. If you lower it a couple feet the rims will look fine.

importsrloths, i think that your post was just plain ridiculous. Are you saying that the window tint on my camaro that came from the factory should come off? come on guys! Maybe if you read his post you would realize that someone switched the wheels off his car before he got it. I have taillight black outs on my camaro to keep my tailights from getting faded and hit with road debris. Or maybe i should send my cowl hood back because pep-boys can order them now???????

85camaroZ28 i think it's a nice camaro, I'd probably leave the blue chevy signs off, or put one in a corner of the front window or something though..

I said i dont mind his window tint but "others think it is ghetto" cowl hoods are sweet(daytona hoods are not) taillight covers are decent too.

ImportsRSloths: You say all those comments as if they are proven facts (Ground FX- pretty much generally known that different color Ground FX are 90% of the time ugly as phuc (your ground FX are not the 10%) )
but they really are your opinions, which pretty much don't mean anything to anyone on this board. Also, whats wrong with Pep Boys? I bought my California Water Blade there. Is it trashy and only for people who live in trailors because I got it there and not from Summit? I also bought my touch up paint there. And sandpaper. Is that sandpaper only for hicks? I guess I should have gotten the classy sandpaper from Home Depot or something. And you work or used to work at Maaco, correct? Every time someone would make a comment on how much Maaco sucks, you would always jump in and defend it. If Pep Boys is the cheap, white trash, Wal-Mart place for car parts/accessories, then isn't Maaco cheap, white trash, Wal-Mart paint shop?

If this post offends anyone other than ImportsRSloths, sorry, it wasn't supposed to.

Import...

dont speak for all of us. Maybe some of us were not beating around the bush. I know I wasnt. The car looks great to me. I just disagree on the blue bow ties. PERIOD! You assume that our taste are the same as yours and that's why you went ahead on our behalf, mentioned that we were beating around the bush. Like some else mentioned, maybe they are better off on a corner somewhere.

You're waiting for someone to back you up. There is only ONE person EYE can imagine and your hero has yet to show up....JACK!

Import

Tinted windows are not gehtto, have you even noticed how many cars come with tinted windows. I guess in your world my dad's minivan is pimp gehtto then because it came with tinted windows. Alot of people tint windows for the security reason, so that everyone and there dog can't see what you have in your car!!

85maroz28
Nice car!! Keep making it different!! I'm so sick of seeing every 3gen camaro look the same just a different color!! I hate how a couple of people on here jump all over, people for doing something different!!

I like it but I gotta go with everyone else and say I dont really care for the wheels. My cousin has wheels like that on his car, and they arent really ugly, I just dont think they look that great on 3rd gen F-Bodies. I dont really like those hoods either but I still think it is a pretty sharp looking car and as long as you enjoy it thats all that matters.

I am trying to see what is everyones problem with the rims? I personally think they look kick @ss and really set the car off. And another thing, what is everyones problem with customizing a car? Why the h#ll should all camaros look the same? You car is YOUR car. Personalize it the way you want it. This damn board seems biased towards doing nothing to make your car look better on the outside. Everyone always screams "rice" "rice", you guys have no idea what rice really is.

85maro, your car is beautiful. Keep the rims and the bowties and the tint.

You mean the side moldings? Well, those are on most of our cars for a reason. If you have ever been to a supermarket before and seen a cart slammed into your door, but no damage, you see why you need those. They ofcourse stop other objects from easily denting the door, but the cart idea is the best way to explain it.

My personal opinion is this- A) ditch the headlight covers...they may make the car look somewhat stealthy but the front of the Camaro without them has that natural sleeper look anyway. The taillight covers are great-I have the same ones and I love them. However, my two main probs are the rims and the paint scheme. For wheels, look into Performance Wheel Outlet and snag a set of chrome IROC-style wheels (they have 16, 17, and 18 inch varieties). And the blue on white ground effects/body scheme has to go...id just opt for making it all one color (black, red, yellow...etc)

Hey know what? I love your car. I have never seen that color combo before and I like it! I think those rims look real good too. I really am not into big rims and things like that but I switched my 83 over to 91 GFX and a 91 Z28 wing and I love it! What ever it takes to make you like your car. Remeber none of these guys mocking it have to drive it everyday, only you. The car looks great and it can only get better from there.

I WOULD RATHER PUSH A CAMARO THAN DRIVE AN IMPORT

1983 Z28 350w/ edelbrock performer RPM power package , dynomax shorty headers, edelbrock 3" exhaust system, T-56 and ASCD SS hood.

future mods:
completely done over suspension, black paint with flames,
Superram swap coming up

Wifes new car:

95Z28, AT, leather, T-tops bone stock for now.

future mods:
header to tailpipe replacement and a cold air intake. Then I am just going to leave it alone

Ok, here are the ONLY things I see that only *SOMEWHAT* bother me. 1- The tires, I'm pretty sure they say Firestone, which I hate in my humble opinion. Just so long as they don't have that white lettering I'm happy. 2- The blue bow ties on the back, kinda oddball to me. That's all I see. In the end it all comes back to what *YOU* like. It's *YOUR* car, build it for *YOU* and not anyone else. Make it whatever you like. BTW, the blackouts rock, I'm still looking for some for mine
