Re: factory fog lights
Definately worth $40 if they aren't in too bad of shape. Seen some Iroc grills sell for $40-$80 a piece depending on condition. Got some pics?

Re: factory fog lights
For $40, if all is working and in one piece I'd take them.

Paid approx. $60 for a set of used fog lights a few weeks ago.

Re: factory fog lights
1987 base Camaro and LT have different GFX. The IROC/Z28 grille will not fit unless you fit nosecone and front GFX from an IROC Z, Z28 (1985+) or Camaro RS (1989+)

Re: factory fog lights
The fog light brackets are totally different for the 1986-1987 Sport Coupes, Berlinetta's, and LT's. As for the fog light grill, it's similar to the stock one without the fog lights with specific openings for the lights themselves. The wiring and the lights are compatible though.

Re: factory fog lights
The Z28/IROC grill for sure wont fit with out modification, but it can be done. A lot of measuring and a dremmel tool will do the job.

the only grill that will fit the sport coupe nose without ANY mods is the sport couple specific ones... Just take a tape measure and measure a Z28 grill and compare the sizes.. Sport coupe, Berlinetta & LT share a unique nose just to them. If i remember correctly the "Z" grill opening is larger... and yes u can take a dremel to it and prolly make it fit but if u decide you dont like it.... Well lets just re state the obvious... They didnt make any camaro with the sport coupe specific nose after 1987. Rare, prolly not but difficult to find another one in good shape..

EXTREMELY hard to find. Very few were around, even years ago. The foglight option seemed to be popular with the convertible sport coupes, as every one I have seen in person had fogs.

I bought my fog light grill 20 years ago from the dealership, I think it was about $25 brand new from the General. My car was not originally equipped with fogs. Another car in town had them, and I liked the look. My grill has an unfortunate cut in it, and I have tried to find a new one for years. No luck with the dealership, discontinued many years ago. About once a year, one pops up on Ebay, but they are generally in worse shape that what I already have.
