IROC front grill

So I've been looking online, and it seems the IROCs had a different front grill, that had lights in it.

Mine is the normal finned camaro grill. No way that's stock right?

I even have a switch inside for fog lights, but nothing is there.

SHould I install the IROC grill and get some lights?

Why not? The grille and lights are available new, though the latter are pretty expensive.

How bout this, do you WANT the IROC grill and fog lights? Then yes. Gotta do what's gonna make you happy, don't let other people build your car with what they want.

I like the look of it better. But wondering if it's worth the money.

If it makes you happy it's worth it, but I'd just wait till you find a deal on one. I found one in a local junk yard and got it for 10 bucks. There's isn't a performance gain to be had or anything.

This is my favorite and is what I use. I prefer the "no" fog light option. The hood pins were installed by using RTV on rubber backed stainless steel washers. Only one hole in the middle for the stainless pin.
This is only a few weeks after paint and before the hood gap was fixed, new parking lights and emblem/badging were installed.

Re: IROC front grill

Yes its not inexpensive that's for sure. At the time it had been included in the money I saved for paint.
That moneys gone so it’s back to reality. Moneys tight.

I was stopped by the cops a while back because of a front plate law.
I almost cried when I had to covered it .
The bracket holding it is custom and there's no holes drilled into the grill. Easy to take the plate on and off if I ever enter it in a show.

Condensation issues in the running lights? There's a fix somewhere on site if you're interested.

Car looks terrific!

Re: IROC front grill

I bought this NOS grill for my car a couple of weeks ago from a TGO member. https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/exterior-parts-sale/720502-nos-camaro-iroc-parts.html
The condition was basically brand new and fit like a charm. He may still have a couple of them left. Finding lights and paying for them is a tougher proposition.

Nice. Both of those look so much better IMO. To me the fins look like every other camaro out there.

Re: IROC front grill

Sorry to the OP for the off-topic comments.

I hope you're satisfied with the 1A version. I didn't like the way they fit (several years ago), so I went with GM's.

Meh you guys seemed on track to me, your discussing issues with the parts he's asking if it's worth buying. Honest feedback is always nice especially when people come back to this site through search engines asking the same questions
