Cleaning Undercarraige

Hey all,

I am replacing floors and patching wheel houses, what are the types of solutions people have used to clean the frame and undercarraige.

So many options not sure what to use??

Thanks

Paul

Re: Cleaning Undercarraige

If you can get under the car, use a plastic putty knife to get the thickest grime off. Then, you can hose off the undercarriage and with a ton of paper towels and degreaser, most everything will come off very clean. Any rusty areas can be sanded/treated/primed and spray painted afterward.

That's as far as I have gotten, but I'm sure future replyers (is that a word?) will have done more involved work, most likely including applying a paint or bed liner material.

2 words: Pressure Washer. No need for a putty knife or any of that hard work that goes with it.

As for afterwards, I'm using Rust Bullet, but others use POR-15 and undercoating.
