Chrome dipping rims.
Hey guys, I was wondering if you chrome dip your rims, does it cover up the stains? I want to buy some rims, but I thought I could save myself some money if I buy used ones. I'm having them chrome dipped and if it completely covers up the appearance, why spend the extra $ on brand new rims.

Yes, they will polish your wheels, copper plate them, nickle plate them, followed by a thin layer of chrome.
It will look like a new wheel.

I think that is quite expensive also. you might be better off buying new rims. (Depending on which rims of course )

300 for all 4? if so that is a steal or the guy doesn't do good work.
if that's the case i would say definately go for it. otherwise it's cheaper to buy a set of rims already chromed than to purchase a set and then send them out. this also depends on the plating technique and style as well. if they can come even close to this for 300 for all 4 then your getting a steal and i want the guys number.

They have brand new formula rims for $660, and he said if he chromes them. Grand total would be $995.
So there is your info.
