Yeah, the L03 isn't something all that impressive. And whats up with all these 15 year olds with f-bodies? You're ruining our whole persona with your "badass" attitudes. My friend agrees, kids with even the weakest musclecars act like total idiots. Grow up you guys.

I'm 17 and I paid for my car, and I pay for everything about it. That should be how it is. I'm sick of these kids getting their parents to buy them a car. My dad wouldn't give me a dime.

I did that for a long time. I saved enough of my Own money to buy a IROC over the years. We went and looked at 3 IROCS over a period of about 5 months that I could have afforded. But they all had crap wrong with them. Then We went to look at the car I got now. PERFECT body, PERFECT Interior, LOW mileage, tons of new parts and ran great. Even my parents knew a IROC like that would be hella hard to come by. So they gave me extra $$ to buy it since the guy wanted quite a bit because the condition of the car.

Nice guy though, he gave me his car cover and his new jet chip he bought

First of all, not everyone with a thirdgen is a badass.
We all have thirdgens here so we're basically equal.
Its punks like you who ruin the fun.

I'm gonna rip on the car now, because I don't like it.

The color looks like a faded maroon color.
Your rims look like the part that a hubcap goes into, only in "chrome".
The door moulding looks like tin foil.
You probably need the bra cuz you live in the hills of Whitetrashberg.
Is your car a V6? It looks like it. You act like it.

Learn to limit yourself, and your attitude.
</font>

wait a sec here, now v6 owners have some kind of certain attitude and way they act now???
Well then the snotty 305 TBI KIDS have the same then. a special arrogance, though there car isn't much better than a v6 (just barely) and it's still (for the most part) light years away from a most TPI's.

people are right OEJ. You have so many posts because 98% of is is your pompous atitude, useless opinions, and otherwise unwanted problems. No kiddin' for example I have been here alot longer than you, and I have far less posts, because I keep my useless crap and opinions to myself, but for once I'll post my opinion.

Just like when that stupid ***** movie came out, you were posting to thirdgens about how you were defending all of us (v6 and I4 included) on the ***** boards, mustang boards, and the message board for the movie, but what you were really doing was starting $hit, and a "fight." Just realize that you aren't always right, and people don't like having their vehicles blatently put down. and neither do you.

Get your facts straight before you come to me.
You know why I've got a 305 TBI?
Because I like the car itself, not the engine.
I didn't know there was such a huge gap between TBI and TPI.
But I don't have any plans to change this engine at all.
Partially to the fact that I'm selling the car.
Whatever I get will be sure to smoke you, so don't try to act like you're the best here.
I'm looking for any 94-95 F-Body with an LT1, 6 spd manual.

Go back to your hole.

I haven't read everything nor do I intend to. I just wanetd to compare TBI to some other setups...

1985 305 TPI
Compression Ratio: 9.5:1
Horsepower: 215 hp@4400
Torque: 275 lb./ft@3200

1986 305 TPI
Compression Ratio: 9.3:1
Horsepower: 190 hp@4000
Torque: 285 lb./ft@2800

1988 305 TBI
Compression Ratio: 9.3:1
Horsepower: 170 hp@4000
Torque: 255 lb./ft@2400

5.0 liter LG4 4V
Compression Ratio: 8.6:1
Horsepower: 145 hp@4000
Torque: 240 lb./ft@2000

5.0 liter L69 H.O. 4V
Compression Ratio: 9.5:1
Horsepower: 190 hp@4800
Torque: 240 lb./ft@3200

Mind you the L69 was tricked out from the factory.
Also the fact the L03 was never intended to be a performance engine...Everything about it from the factory is restrictive. Everything. Also I dont think I'm king **** of **** mountain with my stock 2.88 non posi rear and soft suspension. I just drive it. Btw, if I pulled the rear off a sixer with 3.42 gears (all of them) do they all have rear drum brakes? Had to throw that question in, im new but im trying...

they all seem to have drums. (v6 cars)

yeah my v6 sucks I know.
<img src= "http://www.nconnect.net/~briones/camfrontsummer.jpg">

I also have a '86 IROC w/ the weak cam, but it'll still look better than one eyed jack-off's bird. wouldn't a 17,000 mile '86 IROC in med. metallic, that's been inside all it's life?
Stupid rich people don't realize how sweet their '86 iroc is but then again, if your daily driver is 80,000+ dollars, an old iroc wouldn't matter.
<img src= "http://www.nconnect.net/~briones/irocz.jpg">
and yeah, the pu$$y cam was thrown out a while ago. still deciding which cam to stick in it. can't afford to finish rebuilding the motor right now. I suppose that happens when you move out of mommy and daddy's and have more to worry about than how pretty my car is.

The way it is I can't afford insurance on the SC and the IROC, and the IROC is the better car so it can stay @ my parents house, in their garage. @ least my iroc isn't a base model firebird.

If you're adressing me genius, My camaro has yet to give me a problem, regardless of it's looks. To quote a fellow thirdgenners signature, 'never agrue with an idiot. they'll only bring you down to their level & beat you with experience" so, I'm not going to argue with you.

If you weren't adressing me, disregard the previous statement.

As most of you don't recognize my name it is because I don't post a lot. But I do read a lot. Really I only have one thing to say. The fight here is between people whom both love third gens. The problem is that one said something the other considered insulting. If I read a post about a car I don't like I just don't say anything. OEJ I have seen you insult others cars a few times and I feel you really shouldn't be talking. I am a kid still to but I am 3 years older than you. I am in college(Junior status) I have a good GPA as a Biology major. I work part time during the school year at 2 jobs. I have my own apartment I pay EVERY one of my own expenses and bought my car myself. Now I don't mean to upset anyone but please post positive comments from now on and if it is critisism of anothers car make sure you say it is only your opinion. We don't need to fight amongst ourselves(we need to fight the Rice war). Please noone get upset. THIS IS JUST MY OPINION.

Hrmm...ok.
Well....changing the subject a little here (back to what it used to be) has anyone got a guide on how to do the photoshop things most people want here?
I was playing around a little earlier today and I tried my first lowering job took me about half an hour and looked decent but I'd like to know how to do it better and faster.
Thanks

well, last time I checked a hispanic man living where there aren't any "rednecks" doesn't make me a good judge as of who is a *******. but I do know that I am not, and the people that are rednecks are complete hicks. I hate them. I'm more like a blue collar worker, if anything.

and the IROC. that's the most recent picture of it, with the motor and trans out. I suppose you wouldn't know how an f-body would look without the motor and trans in it, since I doubt you've ever done any more than pull a plug. try pulling the motor and trans out. it's alot of weight. and yes it will sit that high in the front w/ out the motor.

and BTW how does the SC look like a faded POS? all the paint still shines, there isn't any dull paint on it, and it has a tiny bit of rust. but that's expected for a nearly 14 year old, 83,000 mile car. especially when you live in the rust belt.

OEJ,
Some ppl need to quit worryin' that they have it soooooo bad. Geeze, its taken me 2 years to save up the money to put a built 355 in my Z. its still primed, i'm having to drive it around at school like that because I f'd up awhile back and got a dui and wrecked my truck. I'm 21 now and i'm finally gettin' a paint job and its really startin' to take shape now. I wouldn't be dissin' his sport coupe, jesus we're supposed to all be camaro fans here, thats not just Z28's, its all the cars... I wouldn't dis a v6'er either, you got a 305tbi, WOOOOOOOOWWW! Oh your 285horse 95-96 LT1 wouldn't run w/ alot of ppl at this board so I wouldn't be thowing that around... I could take a 4th gen (not the new ones but def the 93-97)... So just chill out alittle bit and remember each person likes different things...

Yeah but you look like white trash with your thirdgen. I don't care about speed (well i do but not modifying it much). An LT1 6spd would smoke 95% of the cars on the road, and thats good enough for me. I am 17, I don't need to dump all my money into a car almost as old as me (exaggeration). We all know for $1000 we could build a 300 hp engine, and run low 14s high 13s. But thirdgens suck so bad.
