Oh, and no one has heard from Fastlife, he is the one who is arranging the deal as it is his hood they were gonna make a mold of. Without him there is no deal.

I recieved this on the 14th, and they said it will hopefully be ready the first of next week. I will let you all know when it is ready for sale.

I wish to *** that sombody would hurry up and make this hood. I have been needing a hood for 4 months, but been waiting to see what was gonna happen with this one because it is the one I really want. I have a big a$$ trailer park looking hole in my hood and I would like to get a new hood so sombody build this thing already!!!!
They never have emailed me, so I'm guessing the deal didn't go through.
I've set my sights on an SS hood anyway. I still like the jongbloed, though. Just not quite as beautiful as the SS.

Man,, I hope that last post means the hood is a go for you. I'm ready to paint our IROC,, and have been putting it off to see if this hood is going to be available.
I have no idea what's going on with the original plans for this hood. Fastlife has vanished, and R2 Auto design who was going to make it seems to be out of the picture as well. It wasn't Fastlife's hood that was going to be used to make a mold, it was mine (Fastlife arranged this so he could get a hood for himself) and nobody ever contacted me about going through with it.
A couple of days ago I received this e-mail from George Ostrom at Gt Auto:
"Hey,
Did you guys get anyone to make this hood yet?? If not get me some pictures of it close up and all around and some measherments. How tall, how far back from old hood does the cowel go. picture of the under side is it raw galss or finished?? I am ready to go with this
asap!!!!"
I'll have pics with measurements to him by the end of the week, so we'll see how it goes from there.

Me too...the hood will definately sell...."If you build it, they will sell"
I am very interested in this hood. I am am a little concerned on the fit. Is the mold going to be done from a OEM GM Hood? That is the only way that u will be able to get the propper fit. If this is the case......i am most definately in on the deal. Do we know of a price from this GT auto guy? If anybody finds out anything, they need to post it. We need to keep this topic alive to get this to happen

Re: Who's interested in a Jongbloed cowl induction hood?
So.... 14 years after the last post here I am looking at hoods and find a photo of a Blue Camaro with this hood from a Google search. I hope someone made another mold and still makes this hood. Does anyone know?
Re: Who's interested in a Jongbloed cowl induction hood?
I'd like to see the original image, or even the blue one you mentioned. Can you post it ?
Its funny that you mention 14 year old thread. I was looking at one of those " Whats your favorite driving music" threads yest, and couldn't figure out why their were no links to youtube videos for the songs... then I realized.. HA! Youtube didn't exist yet !! Amazing what has come out of the last 10-12 years.... This hood, nor the japanese induction hood regrettably is not among them.
Re: Who's interested in a Jongbloed cowl induction hood?
Looks like they're back again. The last things said about G&T on this board were all bad, but that was quite a few years ago so I'm hopeful. Interested in seeing the results if anyone tries it out...
