GTA Nose emblem install
well i installed my new GTA nose emblem (last bright red OEM GM part on earth lol)
Funny thing is it wasn't shaped correctly (slight concave design to fit the nose properly) i had to use a heat gun to form it after the install. anyway, i want to share some pics of the install to help anyone looking to get to the emblem without trying to be a contortionist as the 87-90 GTA has the post with the lock nut on the back.. way to go GM like the adhesive wasn't enough???
here i removed the nose support tray. it consists of 12 or so 10mm bolts. follow the outline of the tray and you can see which ones need to be removed

put a couple strips of blue painters tape along the edge of the radiator support so you don't scratch the paint off, that tray is sharp on the corners

use a magnetic tray if you have one as you know you will misplace some clip or bolt lol I also had a small magnet as when you pull the tray out from under the front black metal nose support you will most likely drop one or two metal screw clips which are mounted to the tray. they fall into the abyss, but not to the ground..

the asbyss

there's the back of the old (right) and the new (left)

peel the tape and install STRAIGHT!

you will have to heat up the emblem after it's on as the new one is not formed to the nose and will stick up on the outer edges, not sure about reproductions, the factory one as pictured here was flat

the old one begins to "chip" out of the middle where the emblem is bent to fit the nose. the new one started to make that "cracking" sound as i bent it (and that's after heating it up..)
reinstalling is just a reverse operation. simple really.
