What do you use under your hood???
I used up all the last of the armor all today and need to go to pep boys tomorrow and pick up some more. I was wondering, what do you guys use under your hood to clean and what not? I'm thinking about trying that Eagle One Wet Shine I think it was. I spent all morning using armor all in my engine compartment, it doesn't look incredibly kick @$$ but it looks alot better than before.

Theres 1 good car wash here that has some green tire/engine cleaner thats actualy works
I use that then blast it with the wax, not rinsing with water. This shines it up great.

little trick...
take some simple green or something similiar, spray everything under the hood you can see. pressure wash it off (powerful hose mght work too). then take a can of automotive clear coat you can get at like DAP or some other parts store and spray at will.. spray everything!.. lol. it turns out awesome and my buddy badblkz can attest to that..

are you serious, spray paint everything with a clear coat?
that's the best thing i've heard next to using chrome spray paint.
first i rap up all electrical conections possible. i usually mix a empty windex bottle with water and simple green, this way your able to control where it goes as it will eat at your paint. then i use light pressure hose to rinse down the bay (high pressure can cause things to come loose or get water in places you don't want).
after thats all done and the bay is clean then i use a electric leaf blower if i'm near a socket or some towels to hand dry the bay. if your engine bay doesn't shine with this then you need to do some better scrubbing.
i found if you have the time, polishing most things under your hood is the true way to make it shine. most people will use tire shine or products alike, but this can cause your plastic to discolor or fade overtime(usually a reason why your applying in the first place). doing it the right way would be to use a plastic cleaner and polish combination. but it's a personal preference; i also like the clear coat idea.

I just use Engine Brite or Gunk and spray off. And a little bit of chrome polish on the valve covers and air cleaner.

You used Armour all on your car?? That stuff is some of the worst stuff that you can use... it dries things out.
I use simple green for my engine compartment... it looks pretty darn good...
